Official Declaration: Prevention of double-counting/claiming of Carbon Credits for HIVE EV Charging Project
Verified Carbon Standard Project
Mocha Company has listed the HIVE EV Charging project in Verra's VCS Program. HIVE utilizes Verra’s VM0038 Methodology for Electric Vehicle Charging Systems. As of 2023, HIVE is expected to achieve a total of 64,139 tons of GHG emission reductions within the transportation sector.
We Think for the Next Generation
Nurturing the Future for a Sustainable Tomorrow.
Climate Crisis
“Lowering the Earth’s temperature below 1.5°C.”
The next 10 years will be the most critical period determining the future of humanity. The IPCC has assessed that the level of carbon emission reduction has “departed from the trajectory,” leading to an upward adjustment of green house gas reduction targets from 23.6% to 40%. Mocha Company is creating a connected link in the cycle through sustainable activities to lower the Earth’s temperature.
Accelerate
Climate Technology
We provide an e-mobility service platform that connects parking, EV charging, and transparent data. As of 2022, with the domestic registered vehicle count in South Korea surpassing 25 million, air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions from these internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles have also become significant contributors to global warming. Therefore, the global transition to electric vehicles continues to accelerate.
Global Carbon Neutrality
There is a growing effort to enhance carbon emission regulations for businesses in order to address the climate crisis worldwide. Global IT companies, including Google, Apple, Meta, and Amazon, are actively working toward securing infrastructure for carbon neutrality. Nevertheless, this transition involves substantial costs and time. The Hive program is a system crafted to effectively address these requirements.
Verified Carbon Units (VCUs)
Under Verra’s Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) program, projects are issued unique carbon credits known as Verified Carbon Units or VCUs. Each VCU represents a reduction or removal of one tonne of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) achieved by a project.

Sustainable Revenue
The HIVE program provides sustainable revenue for businesses operating EV charging stations. Joining our climate-tech journey and becoming a partner with HIVE offers real-time monitoring data of carbon emission reduction and the generation of additional value through the issuance of Verified Carbon Units (VCU).

Transforming the Automotive Industry
with Carbon Finance
Comparing GHG emission reduction
of electric vehicles with internal
combustion engine vehicles.
HIVE utilizes robust measurement, reporting, and
verification (MRV) methods to quantify the carbon
emission difference between internal combustion
engine (ICE) vehicles and electric vehicles (EV),
converting this reduction into Verified Carbon Units
(VCUs) through the HIVE emission reduction monitoring
system (ERMS) and international NGO, Verra.
1. Data Collection from Charging Activity
Monitoring EV charging activity through each CPO’s
Charge Point Management System (CPMS).
2. HIVE’s Data Management
Electricity delivered data from EV chargers are collected and monitored in HIVE’s Emission Reduction Management System.
3. Quantify GHG Emission Reduction
The HIVE ERMS will quantify and monitor the total amount of GHG emission reduction through robust MRV methods in accordance with certified methodologies.
4. Verra Verification
Monitored ER data is reported to Verra for verification, ensuring the generation of high-quality technology-based Verified Carbon Units (VCUs).
5. VCU Issuance
HIVE’s Verified Carbon Units are issued, and each certified unit is assigned a unique identification number to prevent double-counting issues.
6. VCU Transactions
The high-quality tech-based VCUs are sold to entities
seeking to offset their carbon footprints.
The 2030 plan for sustainable development, adopted by all UN members in 2015,
presents a shared blueprint for providing peace and prosperity for humanity and the
planet. At its core are 17 Sustainable Development Goals, representing a global
partnership that calls for urgent action worldwide.
We are committed to the Sustainable Development Goals.
At the Heart of our efforts, we pursue six goals to structure and maintain our core values.
